Orlando “the City Beautiful” Collection
Orlando has been known as “the City Beautiful” for well over 100 years. You can read more about Orlando’s history here: thehistorycenter.org
In 2016, I embarked on a personal project to shine a light on historic Orlando businesses that have left an indelible mark on our community. Whether through their loyal customers, iconic buildings, or the unique character they bring to the city, these places embody the heart and soul of Orlando.
While Orlando is often overshadowed by the global fame of its theme parks, my illustrations aim to celebrate the hidden gems that contribute to the city's rich, vibrant identity. Through this project, I’ve had the privilege of capturing the stories and significance of these local landmarks, offering residents and visitors alike a chance to appreciate the culture and history that make our city special.
What began as a passion project has grown into something cherished by the community. Today, my illustrated prints are proudly featured at The House on Lang (the collection continues to grow) and have become a beloved way for people to connect with Orlando’s charm.
